New Beeb site

We spotted the new BBC homepage earlier this week and I must say: I was very impressed. A drastic change, but very nicely thought out.

Time will tell how well it serves the purpose, but the personalisation features look promising. It's the first site that I use as regularly that has such features, so it will be interesting to see how they work for me!

Futures mkII

With tickets booked for Microsoft's MSDN roadshow in Spring I'm really looking forward to seeing what MS have to say about how they think we'll be programming over the coming years. The part of the day which really catches the eye comes straight after lunch... I'll have to make sure I don't over do it on the MS buffet. I certainly don't want to spend the afternoon nursing an after-meal coma and miss out on the introduction to Silverlight 2.0!!

Anyone else interesting in finding out about the event, the details are at http://msevents.microsoft.com/CUI/EventDetail.aspx?EventID=1032366638&Culture=en-GB

Independant blogger

I've found a new home at pudd.co.uk - this rather personal address will host my blog from this day on. The previous home (bluehat.co.uk) is become more of a standalone website concentrating on the services that the company offers - more web/software orientated.

Here I will continue to talk about these things, and All of my other favourite topics techie topics!

MS Futures

We're back today from a trip to Miscosoft's offices in Reading to find out more about their new technologies and what it might mean to us and our clients.

The good news is that MS are showing no signs of letting up and although we probably won't be implementing any of their recent additions too soon, there are some very exciting prospects.
